Book introduces sports fans to their favorite SEC mascot
Two Columbia moms, Elizabeth Tighe and Delia Corrigan (both USC grads) have written a children’s book called Go Team! Mascots of the SEC.
Tighe and Corrigan say their children had memorized players’ names, helmet designs, stats, logos, and they wanted to know more about Cocky and the other SEC mascots. Their effort to find information for their children eventually turned into the book
Go Team! Mascots of the SEC was written in collaboration with the SEC and each mascot. Featuring color photographs and bold graphics, the book reveals the inside information on each mascot and their school traditions. Each mascot ends its chapter with a strong values message called a “Mascot Message.”
Go Team! is available at Barnes and Noble, Books a Million, independent bookstores and at goteambooks.com. A portion of the proceeds go to Special Olympics.
