4-H2O Pontoon Classroom to be held on Lake Murray
The Clemson University Cooperative Extension Services will conduct a 4-H2O Pontoon Classroom at Lake Murray, June 15 – June 19. Class will be from 8:30 to 4:30 daily. Registration deadline is June 5.
The registration fee of $100 includes all materials and snacks. A certified lifeguard will be in attendance. Class size is limited to the first pre-registered pre-paid twenty (20) students. Parents of interested youth (ages 10-12) should contact the Lexington County Extension Service at (803) 359-8515 ext. 0.
Participants will meet at the Lexington side of the Lake Murray dam. Participants will learn about the importance of protecting our lakes and streams not only for human benefit but also aquatic life. Program activities include watershed demonstrations, a lake history lesson, fishing, critter counting, aquatic entomology, fish printing, and swimming.
