South Carolina’s offense drives downfield, catches a huge break, looks on the verge of doing something … And then …

Stephen Garcia was picked off on third down, and Clemson takes over at its own 26. Rashard Hall was behind the play and just jumped in front of Saunders. Garcia probably never saw him.

Well, at least the Gamecocks don’t have to kick again to C.J. Spiller just yet.

It was a pretty good drive into Tiger territory, helped by a heady play by a Gamecock senior.. After Alshon Jeffery fumbled a first down catch, a group of Tigers couldn’t hop on the ball, and Garrett Anderson emerged with it. That preserved the first down and the drive.

But then a few plays later … Another oy.

Less than five minutes in, and it’s already going badly for the Gamecocks. And they already may need a game-changing play.
