Stewart snubbed on coaches All-SEC team

The SEC coaches came out with their all-conference preseason team Thursday.
Stephen Garcia was on it, and Darian Stewart was not.
Go figure.
That’s no knock on Garcia. His inclusion on the third team (tied with Kentucky’s Mike Hartline) speaks to the conference’s lack of proven QBs behind Tim Tebow and Jevan Snead.

Whitlock returns, again

Just posted a story about C.C. Whitlock being reinstated to the team.
Obviously, this is not a big surprise after athletics director Eric Hyman cleared Whitlock last week. But Steve Spurrier ultimately was the final arbiter, and the Gamecocks coach confirmed through a spokesman Wednesday that he has allowed Whitlock to return.

Back from a two-week vacation, I was pleasantly surprised to find that our hydrangeas had not died (the palmetto is another story) and that Derek Watson and Demetris Summers are both still gainfully employed in the CFL.
