Columbia Mayor Bob Coble had to lay down the law Wednesday to a group of more than 100 landlords who came to protest a plan that would require them to pay $11 a year for a business license. UPDATE: City changes public hearing for rental property ordinance

As we noted earlier, the city is considering requiring ALL rental property owners to pay for a business license. You can complain to (or praise) City Council members at the public hearing, which has been rescheduled for Jan. 28 at City Hall.
