Columbia: 'I'll see you in court'
Columbia officials have rejected settlement offers from Stevens and Wilkinson and Turner Construction over the 2004 convention center hotel project.
If you don’t remember, at one time the city considered building a public hotel across from the convention center. They eventually decided not to and went with a private developer, which prompted a flood of lawsuits.

Now Turner wants to settle
Stevens and Wilkinson must have started a trend with their offer to settle their lawsuit with the city.
Today, Turner Construction, who is suing the city for the same reason as Stevens and Wilkinson, offered to settle with the city for $525,000. (You can read the offer here.)
