USC gameday forecast

No one wants to work on Thanksgiving, myself at the front of that list.

So here is a true, truncated gameday forecast, live from gameday (where the forecast is dank and gloomy, with rain becoming more persistent as the day goes along).

In short, these are two teams whose weaknesses and strengths are pretty well defined, most of which have been unchanged in recent years.

And when you analyze the Xs and Os between the coaching staffs/systems, the trend is that Clemson will have 2-3 big plays, and Spurrier’s offense will be able to pick apart the Tigers’ defense through the air in 10-15 yard chunks.

That said, when was the last time this game came down to a match-up or motivation you could have recognized before the game.

More than likely, it’s going to the fourth quarter, and a turnover or momentum swing will decide it.

The way Clemson’s season has gone, I haven’t seen reason why it will go in their favor this time.

PREDICTION: USC 20, CLEMSON 14

I couldn’t be happier that you were so wrong. Love the blog.

I’m really glad Paul was wrong as well! It was the first Clemson game my 6 year old son attended and I’ve got to say it was pretty special. Despite the most miserable weather I’ve ever seen at Death Valley, we loved every minute of it. The stuff memories are made of.
