From a high school coach …
It’s been mentioned before that Darrin Horn and his staff are working hard on the recruiting trail, especially in terms of laying the groundwork for the future.
To that end, Sumter High School coach Nate Livesay offered up this tidbit:
“I have met Horn and his staff a couple of times now. The effort level they are making to include SC high school coaches is off the charts. I have already met and spoken to him and his staff more often than I talked to Odom the entire time he was here at Carolina. If they have a little success I think the bandwagon will fill up quickly. …
“They are really going above and beyond. Notes, phone calls, speaking at the coaches clinic and then sticking around to speak to people, the miniclinics they are doing all over the state. Who knows if it will continue but for right now they are doing what it takes to make a great first impression.”
Coach Livesay was also mad that I picked his Tennessee Volunteers third in the East. OK Nate, if you’re reading this, after talking to people in Birmingham, and hearing more about Scotty Hopson, I’m close to flipping.

Sorry Coach, his vols are undisciplined and will underachieve.
But thanks — that IS concrete evidence of the work ethic we have heard mentioned.
